First Aid and CPR Skills for those wanting to become first responders. Course teaches techniques for sustaining life, preventing further injuries, and caring for illnesses and injuries until the next level of medical personnel arrives.  Includes CPR level HCP and AED.

Part One - The Red Cross, preparing to respond, the EMS system, and cardiac arrest check, call, care, the responder, the emergency scene, preventing disease transmission, human body systems, assessment

Part Two - Airway emergencies, breathing, and circulation emergency, first aid for respiratory

Part Three - Respiratory emergencies, circulatory emergencies, bleeding/shock, soft tissue injuries/wound care

Part Four - Head and spine injuries, chest, abdominal and pelvic injuries, medical emergencies, sudden illness

Part Five - Poisoning, heat and cold related emergencies, child birth, crisis intervention, lifting and moving

30 Participants to be trained.
